The infant feeding experience comes with a unique set of challenges for each person. I will work with you to find a plan of care that feels manageable and is supportive of your goals, whatever they may be.  

Some Reasons to call an IBCLC:

• Painful, injured nipples

• Under supply/Over Supply

• Baby isn't gaining weight

• Baby spits up and seems to struggle at the breast

• Frequent plugged ducts/mastitis

• Returning to work

• And many more

How it works:

We talk on the phone prior to the in-person consultation to assess what your needs and options are. 

Home Visits lasts 1.5-2 hours and in that time I will take a full medical history, conduct a breast and newborn exam, watch a feeding, and develop a plan of care that feels reasonable and sustainable for you and your family. You will have access to me for one week after the appointment for phone and text follow up and we will adjust the plan as needed. I will provide you with a written plan of care as well as a superbill for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement.  Fee: $250

Phone Consult is an option for those who have general questions or follow up needs that don't require a weight check, or visual exam of any kind (breast or baby) to assess issues.  Topics commonly covered: returning to work strategies, pumping questions, introducing solid foods, weaning.  I can provide you a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement.  Fee: $50/30 mins

In person follow up is available to anyone I have seen for an initial consult.  Fee: $150

I also offer private prenatal breastfeeding classes. I will come to your home and we will spend 1-2 hours answering your specific questions and preparing you for the process.
